At 20 years, this is not work, is it passion, a passion that manifestest itself in the action of creation. The great masters of the past- Picasso, Tamayo, Guayasamin and so many others are my guides that lead me in my craft. Painting is undoubtedly my means of escape, a door of freedom, feelings, thoughts, sanity, madness, dreams and the desire to create. My inspiration is discovered in everyday life. I paint from my heart, without hunger, without fear, bright colors, austere colors, between brushstrokes and fingers, I paint for myself and for you, I paint for everyone …
Drawing, tens, hundreds, thousands, my life, your life, their lives, childhood, your love, your nostalgia, painting leads me to be a child, to color, to savor, without the weight of the world. I enjoy my silence, my corner, my happy world, where I am the owner, where I have my jungle, where I save my surroundings …
I create or recreate styles to my liking and my whim, while I digress and formulate techniques without compromise, I have fun portraying my own and other people’s moments, from the abstract, to the figurative, from expressionism to cubism or naïve, what matters is that am free in expression.
I keep these sentiments close to my heart:
“Never lose your innocence and originality” Santiago Genovés, Hispanic-Mexican Anthropologist, Professor at UNAM.
“I have your first work and those that show your evolution during all this time, never stop painting” Luciana Paluzzi, Bond Girl, Italian Actress.
“I love that your painting captures feelings and your architecture conveys peace” Alice Walker, African American Writer (The Color Purple)
My family, my friends, my world, are the reasons to live and paint, I don’t separate them …
Actually he lives and paint in the beautiful city of Puerto Vallarta with his wife Tonya Gonzalez who inspire him everyday.
